Crew commander, known as Uordeddi who fought the Nazi troops, first in Africa and later in Europe, has one goal - to survive the war and save the lives of his men. ReplyDeleteThe crew suffered a loss - a machine gunner was killed. To replace him in obedience Don sent rookie - Norman Ellison, who served previously on the staff. Norman is right at the front, where face-to-face with the horrors of war. The rookie is not ready to kill. Thus, during the movement of the column of armored vehicles he sees the Germans, but not to shoot at them. The enemy is attacking column, sets fire to the car in front, but the Allies beat off the attack. Collier makes it clear rookie, he must learn to kill, because otherwise it can be lost not only Allison, and his comrades-in-arms.
After the death of Don commander takes over command of a tank division. Under his command the tankers come to the aid of a platoon of soldiers caught in a difficult situation, and destroy the German anti-tank battery.
